Our Sunday morning's children's ministry is called King’s Kids. It is designed to function as a small group for children aged 4 - 10 years of age. Currently, due to the number of children involved, all the children are in the same group, but we are praying that this will change as we see more families attending Emmanuel Church!
Most Sunday mornings, after about 20-30 minutes of worship with the rest of the church family, our children gather in their own space. We aim to build relationships with participants, help them build friendships with their peers, introduce them to Jesus, and grow their faith. Our time usually includes a bible story, discussion, an object lesson, or a game to reinforce the message, sometimes a craft, and always a prayer time.
During the summer months, the children remain part of the main worship gathering. However, these gatherings are designed to be intergenerational as both the children and youth are part of the entire experience.
Our teachers work in pairs and are all up to date on their police safety checks. In addition, we offer a mandatory ‘refresher process’ for all our volunteers who work with the younger generations. Please note that all children must be signed out of the class at the end of the service by a parent/caregiver. Finally, parents should complete an information sheet on each child, including age, DOB, and any allergies/learning disabilities etc.
In September 2026, we will be starting a new series on The Fruits of the Spirit as found in Galatians 5:23.
