Expectations and Preparation
This will be the first time that we host this retreat at Emmanuel Church, and though we have done our best to anticipate how to best run this retreat, we expect to do a lot of learning! Please be patient and gracious with us as we learn!
As for the content of the retreat, the topics are clearly defined in the schedule. Some of these topics are more controversial than others. Please know that we fully expect that not everyone will agree on every aspect of teaching. We respect differences in theological convictions and have no desire to argue about them at the retreat. We ask that you attend the retreat with a posture of humility and a willingness to learn. Further, we are more than willing to discuss the theology further after the retreat.
As with the Set Free Retreat, we encourage you to prepare by getting enough sleep in the days leading up to the retreat and spending time in prayer for the retreat.
Finally, you will receive an email early in the week of the retreat with some final details and suggestions.
We look forward to seeing you there!
