Emmanuel Congregational Christian Church

37 Gates Ave.
Middleton, Nova Scotia
A brief overview of our journey.

Emmanuel began as a small, home Bible Study in September of 1994. We soon outgrew that home and moved to a larger living room.  Yet again, we quickly outgrew the space and rented different facilities. In November 1994 we became established as a church, and applied for and were granted credentials as a member church of the Congregational Christian Churches in Canada.

Our congregation is made up of people from many different socio-economic and denominational backgrounds.  Emmanuel is a Purpose Driven Church that strives to be relevant in the community. We try to live out the purposes God has given His church. Our special mission is to Honour Jesus by Sharing His Love.

During our first year as a church God provided the old elementary school as a permanent home.  The building continues to be a 'work in progress', but is a great place for worship, fellowship and ministry.  The people who make up Emmanuel, however, love to go outside the walls of the building to be the Body of Christ - alive in the world, doing His will, loving with His love and extending grace and mercy to all we meet.

Come check us out; we believe you'll be glad you did!
